Rising Costs of Fabric

Here's a link to an article about how and why the costs of cotton have risen and continue to rise.

How will rising fabric costs impact your quilting/sewing life?

I will be shopping from my stash much more.  My current plan is to buy one or two fabrics to coordinate with scraps from my stash for projects in my immediate future.  I'll also be trying to work on my (multitudes) of UFOs.

I have things that I can easily work on in my stash. Maybe this is a wake up call for us to start using what we have, as opposed to buying everything we set our eyes on. I personally hate UFO's...I'm the type of person that has to finish what I start. So this will give me further incentive to get working on that stash of fabric that I purchased for just such things! =)

Sounds like a good plan. Now that I finally got my fabrics sorted out and organized, I feel like I can shop the stash a bit easier and get some stuff done.
